About Us

On the Kenai Peninsula, Trout Unlimited works to protect and restore the cold, clean waters that sustain our region’s iconic trout and salmon fisheries. From small headwater streams to large glacial rivers, we bring anglers, conservationists, and community members together to care for the waters that support our ecosystems, our livelihoods, and our way of life in Alaska.

The KPTU Chapter of Trout Unlimited has members from Homer to Hope, covering the Kenai Peninsula at large.

As a conservation organization, the KPTU Chapter:

  • Cares for local rivers and streams and trout and salmon populations through stream restoration projects, cleanup days, and community science programs
  • Advocates for the protection of rivers and streams locally, as well as in unison with national TU priorities across the country
  • Partners with national TU conservation staff, local and state agencies and regional environmental organizations to implement conservation programs, with a focus on work in TU’s Priority Waters
  • Mobilizes the entire community to care for their waters
  • Hosts regular events, social gatherings and local fishing outings that connect people with their rivers and streams
  • Inspires the next generation with environmental education programs

We invite you to join us by attending an event, volunteering for a project, signing up for our email newsletter and becoming a member!
